So it seems FA is having a little trouble with spambots.

Their "fix" was to disable registration. Again.

Maybe instead of fighting the ability for spambots to sign up, they could just impose flood control??? Oh wait, this is FA, they only know how to do things the wrongest way possible.

Seems FA isn't the only target

The flood doesn't appear to be as intense as it was on FA. Possibly Weasyl's sign-up isn't so broken and they're having to register manually instead.

FA Forums user Benanderson reveals some serious security issues in FA's code and has decided to share it on the forums:

How many of you wanna bet Yak or Neer will blame him for the spambot issue, completely missing the point (intentionally or not), and ban him on the spot?

This is FA's broken architecture rather than its code. It's better than it was 3 years ago (unless someone else can find even more flaws), but still pretty fucky.

Wasn't benanderson leader of the Shadow Squad of FA Improvement? They'll just call it sour grapes. And then ban him.

They re-enabled registration with zero visible changes. So basically they turned it off for a month for no reason. Grate job.
