Dragon Wars
« on: January 11, 2008, 12:19:47 am »
Silly things are in motion at FA again.  Start two months ago, when Dogman posts a drawing of a dragon eating monster.  The dragon in question is one Hida, who somehow seems to really enjoy being eaten and has no problems with the work.  Now enter dragon103, a man with a bit of a history about dragon vore.  Couple weeks ago he posts a number of replies to the monster image:

Quote from: dragon103
Honestly, this has been a severe issue for me for two years, and so far, the only thing that makes it better is doing what I can to bring it to an end someday. The issue here, which may seem like a trivial issue to you or others, is really a struggle for survival and mental health for me. When I heard about this image alone, even before I saw it, my heartrate and blood pressure became dangerously high and I am developing a bad heart condition. My experience in the furry fandom has been nothing short of horrible and I am losing my ability to enjoy "being a dragon" and life in general because of the knowledge that, deep down, every moment feels like... "horrible things are happening to the ones I love and there is nothing I can do to stop it because I'm the only one who feels its wrong."

Quite simply, my offense from your picture bases from my own moral instinct to defend the worth of the creatures I love so dearly. Any loving parent would do the same for his or her children.

Hida was disturbed by this picture but was nice to you despite that. Think about that.

Hida says, "This was a nice surprise. :) Thanks a million!"  Again, Hida collects pictures of his character being devoured.  FA users are quick to make note of this and dragon103's some problems, with ChimeraSynx among many others teasing the poor mouthbreather.  Shortly after a few little tribute pieces appear (like this one from Sonderjen)...

... and now, a week later, FA admins clean house of any recent dragon vore submissions they find, deleting work from ChimeraSynx's gallery, removing KamiCheetah's Paper Dragons, and banning Sonderjen.  (Possibly a three-day suspension, no official word from staff, and apparently Sonderjen doesn't know either.)  Sonderjen's artist profile of "b& for being a dick" was written previously in protest of a number of meritless bannings, the profile has since been changed by the admins to "The b& bio was created by Sonderjen, not by the admins" but users are already putting that meme into their user icons.  Currently there's a growing pile of images of Hida being eaten in the copy-paste style of Krystal, and a number of original pieces of dragons simply being eaten.  So far we've seen people claiming first amendment protection on the FA server and direct comparisons to the Bush Administration.  Waiting with bated breath to see how the administration overreacts.
What if the pentagon has stored lost data of porn and yiff in it's data, has anyone over there saved about millions of porn data and art in it's computer drive? tell me more about the facts what they have in your opinions!

I expect Dave Hyena and/or Wolfblade send me a very angrily-worded PM, and I'll likely be asked to remove my avatar for something "less offensive".  And then they'll start deleting Hida-eating pics en masse, which will lead to more dramalawls.

Because then they might have to actually pay for a website.  Or do all sorts of terrible work to set one up.  Or deal with a sub-standard service like VCL without all the journals and friendings and drama-spawning fiddly bits.

I will never understand why the FA moderation staff seems to side with retards over the democratic masses calling them out on retardation. I suppose deep down, they have empathy for the ass-twats, and despise anything even remotely memesque, but I bet it has a lot more to do with them just being terrified of furries being viewed as unfriendly.
random gay furry art is broken , when will it be fixed ?

I completely agree. I think though that their problem falls much more within the realm of inexperience or naivety. It took only a year and a half of managing a community site to realize that if you just decide to go out and hand out spanking every time somebody has a fight you just end up creating more problems than if you had just let the two spat it out.
I'm a *(%^ rivet head. Trust me, I hate everything to some degree; some things less than others... oh and my opinion will always be better than yours.
