Naylor and Zaush find sexual harassment lulztastic
« on: June 23, 2012, 04:32:38 pm »
(Is this even the right forum? N/m.)

So, at "AnthroCon" a female (of course, it's always women getting this shit) artist got sexually harassed by a greasy neckbeard (your typical furry, in other words).

She wrote a journal about it and got subsequently drowned by a deluge of the scum of earth also known as 4Chan.

So far, so disgusting.

But Naylor and Zaush obviously didn't think the uppity woman in question had been sufficiently put in her place and chimed in:

Why, seeing as Naylor became the smartest man alive by internalizing Rand's scripture better than anybody else and Zaush learned that attention whores equal real whores from all the women he raped they must be correct, amirite?

Naylor was obviously hurt by that, since it made him write a whole lot of huffing-puffing <words> in his journal to try and restore face. A small excerpt:

Quote
[...] A female artist friend of mine posted a link to a journal to raise awareness of what could be viewed as sexual harassment at a convention. The journal had no details, but the words "being creepy" did appear, over and over, in place of precise information. Not having information about the topic, I replied with a self-deprecating joke to my friend, indicating the words used by the journal. I said: "Being creepy is sexual harassment, now? I'm in big trouble... :3" It is a running joke to my girlfriend and some other friends of ours about how good I am at putting on a creepy act to get a reaction from them. She even calls me "creeper in the dark" if I'm playing video games or writing on the computer without any room lights on in the evening. Taken as it was intended by friends who know me, it could have died there. Then someone decided to roll a hand grenade into the room with me and my friend.

Another artist gentleman decided to use my joke between a friend to launch into a comment which implied we should be immediately skeptical toward any situation where someone claims to feel threatened or victimized, because people love being victims, and people love rallying around victims. Despite my telling him that this was not the best policy to pursue in matters where we don't have any details, the responses from the meat-headed goons, predictably, began to pop up. My name was attached to a twitter thread and dragged into a flurry of accusations of being a "rape enabler" and "shaming victims". My measured responses to the offending artist gentleman were ignored by the accusers [...] kindly stow your accusations, presumptions, baseless notions, and obscenely biased inferences.

Additionally, in the comments, Naylor rants about how he opposes the right to trial by a jury of ones peers because "Anything that mandates an effort from someone else isn't a "right""

A view of rights that is rather detached from the reality of human existence today and throughout history. Some people were saying on lulz.net that Naylor sits around at home drawing furry porn while girlfriends have supported him, so I suppose that's the sort of existence which breeds such thinking.
then he hent that noble prince by the hand,
and said "welcome my soueraigne King HENERY!
chalenge thy Herytage and thy Land,
that thine owne is, and thine shall bee."

That's a proclivity of Objectivists anyway, but yeah, I can see how a pampered lifestyle could cultivate sociopathic egomania.

Meanwhile, he attempts a comedy retcon by calling his statements a "jest". (See? He uses dated words, he must be a clever one.)

So...we have the libertarian who thinks if he plays a bad teevee portrayal of Thomas Jefferson (as imagined by Glenn Beck), he gets to say whatever the fuck he wants. Okay.

(sidebar: when the temporal range of your acceptable Western philsophies stops in the 18th century, then you get an 18th century understanding of humanity. This is why you want to throttle every libertarian you meet and yell PEOPLE DON'T WORK THAT WAY. Because over the last 200 years, the rest of humanity has figured out that those guys were mostly (mostly!) wrong.)

And we have the all-but-dead-to-rights-rapist, who also thinks that pushback on sexual harassment claims is hunky-dory. Gotcha.

"Just kidding" is a great one, though. I'll bet he whines "ad hominem" (incorrectly, I might add) every damn chance he gets, but saying whatever and then walking it back with "KIDDING!" is fine!

So Zaush is not only pooh-poohing somebody else's claim that they were sexually harassed, he's still trying to justify being a rapist himself.

Classy guy, that Adam Wan...

Yeah, funny thing how everything some people do is an effort to justify and rationalize the past.

Hah, due to group pressure and lack of evidence I could escape just punishment. Neener-neener!

Smug little bastard probably never heard about the relation between pride and downfall.

Word on the street is somebody hacked FA's note system again. I wonder if he learned to better cover up his tracks over the two years.

If you had some proof to back that up, it would be awesome, but whatever. I'm sure we will find out soon enough. Plus it's really nice that everyone is still on a site where the code is shit and has been hacked so many times before. Another wave of drama filled notes is exactly what I could use right now.

Adam Wan's accused to rape? Can someone give me the info on that? I'm kinda curious.

Look for the FAleaks threads on this website. He was more or less outed as such when a private confession from one of his victims was leaked. He's always had a certain tendency towards that kind of personality - he's a short Asian dude but plays a massively built dingo online, has trouble being nice to women and is generally douchey and needlessly aggressive online and off. And Jesus, look at his art. It's always his big huge character (again, IRL he's short and small) raping some smaller character. The size difference can be so ridiculous that people began asking if the females were underage. They're not, but it's just that ridiculous.

I believe there were suspicions and rumors about this particular incident but no real confirmation until the note leak of December 2010. A private confession from the victim to Dragoneer - asking for help - was leaked. She had no reason to lie, since the note was never meant to be public, and her account matched what little was known about the incident. Then Dragoneer says he won't help a sexual assault victim because popufurs, but that is another topic.

When the leak happened - Adam reacted like he'd been caught. He blacked out his online accounts and sort-of went into Internet hiding. After a few months he was back, though, and being the asshole he always was. Fast forward to the aftermath of Anthrocon 2012, and someone else has been calling him out over Twitter and FA journals regarding another rape incident - allegedly three guys involved in this one. If there's any more concrete info about this incident, no one's posted it here.

I haven't really been on here for a while, and to be honest, I haven't been paying attention to the drama in the furry fandom for a while, but this is something very big. I did notice that Adam Wan's characters tend to be huge, 7 foot tall heavily muscled guys, and their female partners are disproportionately small, but I don't recall any drawings of his character raping them... with the sole exception of that one comic, but I don't know if it can be really called rape or not.

Actually, the blackout was a reaction to his girlfriend at the time breaking up with him. Zaush blacked out his account after Keovi broke up with im, and steadily trickled back a few months later. This happened way before the note leak, and is unrelated.

In reaction to the note leak, Zaush was dismissive and smug much in the same way he is in the face of this. He's never shown remorse or introspection or a sense of guilt of any stripe.

One DonCoon recently got into a squabble with Jay Naylor on one of Naylor's submissions after criticising Naylor's anatomy. Naylor was accused of calling DonCoon a "stupid faggot" but claimed it was all lies:

A screenshot was then produced of a note wherein Naylor had called Don-coon a "stupid faggot" (in Sept. 2011, after a previous criticism):

IMO is tilting at windmills to criticize the pics. of people like Naylor, but sending random people notes like that seems pretty fragile.

Stuff like that is reason why I wouldn't bother myself to look at Naylor's art critically.

The Vivisector Health and Safety board advises that no one should look directly at Naylor's art, be it critically or otherwise.

Objectivists work like that. If they were to admit they made mistakes, they'd admit to "being weaklings".

And Naylor cannot let anyone see him as a puny weakling, no?
