AUP Update 2: [Cliched Title Goes Here] and more
« on: June 06, 2012, 02:47:08 am »
The second AUP/ToS update of the year has come out, and again we see Random Changes for the sake of making Random Changes things more streamlined and lenient!

First up, the restrictions on "group accounts" have been lifted, because shockingly, they never put in a proper group system like they wanted to when they banned them. Just don't get too creative as "account art" is apparently banned (but, shocker! it's not actually forbidden in the rules themselves, just in Dragoneer's post).

Secondly, the restrictions on fetish clothing are now as broad as ever but you can upload latex and leather clothing, as long as "the attire does NOT feature modifications of sexual nature and are otherwise suitable for viewing by users of all ages", which sadly doesn't seem to apply to  ~some fursuits~. The winner for best random change in a single AUP update goes to the next one: You can upload pictures of people in "swimwear" but all men must be wearing shirts. Apparently, Chris-Chan's dislike of topless men has spread to other citizens of Virginia.

And finally, it seems a half-assed attempt at making the rules less confusing was attempted in April, when a "Code of Conduct" page was added to the knowledgebase with a copypasta job of part of the ToS. Because what else makes rules easier to understand than spreading them out across more documents?!?!?

And thus begins the first of the changes since Sciggles "steps down".
They don't really seem to be in any way important or useful,  but I guess some admin wanted the changes, and that's enough.
