It seems that FA finally found the right button to push to actually generate outrage amongst users.
From what's been reported, FA recently began to delete "suggestive" fursuit photos from the site, up to and including
this picture of Fender (but only after public outcry that FA was arbitrarily enforcing rules again).
Dozens of journals as well as "protest submissions" have been posted to the site, and several users have QUIT FOREVER.
Of course, the usual group of FA brown-nosers has their own take on what's going on:

For starters, the ToS doesn't cover acceptable uploads, that's what the acceptable upload policy does. Secondly, "suggestive fursuit photos" aren't mentioned in the AUP:

Photographic work must be suitable for all ages, and submissions MAY NOT be rated higher than General. Photography involving mature or adult situations or illicit activity are not allowed. This includes images containing nudity, sex toys, sexually modified plushies or fursuits (where modifications are visible or obvious), gore (blood, wounds, death) or alluding to illegal activity. Uploading adult or pornographic photography may result in an automatic suspension.

Clothing - All models featured in photography must be appropriately dressed, wearing both top and bottom garments. Underwear, bras or diapers are not considered acceptable articles of clothing. Conventions & Fursuits - Images of conventions and/or fursuits are allowed provided they meet quality, photo dump/similar content, and artistic merit standards.
Now if they are removing these for not being "suitable for all ages", this is a complete 180 from their previous stance on what is considered suitable for all ages. It's okay to have a thrusting/humping avatar, it's okay for your avatar to say "FUCK" even if it's featured on the front page (because kids use that word anyways!!!) but "suggestive" fursuit photos are NOT COOL.
