I found out about this via Dragoneer's twitter of all places:

So, there's a website that sprang up for a con called "Furry Beach". Apparently, it's a convention nobody's ever heard about that's now in their third year. Jinkies. The site lists photos from conventions like Anthrocon and FurFright, as well as other private meets (and some even taken from FA!). Even Jersey regulars like JD Puppy (sup!).

Basically - it's a furry convention scam site. It's a pretty obvious, too, but... some people may have fallen for it all the same. Y'know, same way those damn Nigerian Princes keep popping out of the woodwork. =P
I took one for the team, and sent their Paypal a whopping $0.05 to test it out. Yep, their Paypal payment address is indeed legitimate (though unverified) . I don't know how many people may have fallen for it (if any). I mean, how many furcons run from Sunday-Thursday? Heh. Not to mention the minimal effort put into the site.
That said, it's a bit too late now for most, but if you or anybody you know was supposedly heading down to the convention... yeah. =P
I miss that nickel.
The website is still partially
cached on Google. One of the pictures in the movie, which is conveniently cropped, is displayed unaltered on the website, showing a signpost with European style signs on it. Pretty out of place for a convention that supposedly takes place in Florida.
Hopefully no one fell for this, seeing as it's hosted on fucking
Weebly. But with furries you never know...
