Someone on Lulz also pointed out Irreverent no longer appears to be an admin, despite being listed as one on the Staff page that's already been updated to remove Chase.

And Ratte, despite already being an admin, was not on the staff page until this most recent update. There's 18 listed, same as before. Who else disappeared?

Damaratus. I'm fairly sure he was still listed, even though he had quit a while back.

I'd love to know what the admins deleted in that journal. Two admin deletions and two by the page owner, as of now.

It's been, all in all, a fun number of years as Admin. Now, I can be a regular joe again, and I'm quite happy to do so. Thanks for giving me a whirl guys, it's been fun <3

I can understand that. My thought is, is that (community) goodwill built up from good deeds et al done by staff is ultimately held hostage to Dragoneer's deathgrip on the site.

I suppose the best sort of mitigation of FA's reputation one would be able to do, under the circumstances, would be to say that Dragoneer's opinions and actions are his own, and not necessarily those of the administration or staff as a whole.

Now taking bets on how long it takes them to fix the staff page to remove Ankhana and Irreverent! I mean, it's been a month since the attack, so I don't see why not reinstate Irreverent, if only because he's resigned. The dude has an actual wife and kids, I wouldn't blame him (not that I would blame any FA staff member for leaving).

As much as I hate complimenting Dragoneer or implying he's actually doing something good... Could it be he's actually behind the scenes getting rid of his most problematic staff, either by encouraging nicely or threatening with firing? I'm undecided on what Damaratus was like as an admin, but, after he left, Chase followed over a month later, and around that time a couple of other admins left or were fired. Now Pinkuh leaves, the one I heard the most horror stories about.

I have good reason to believe Chase was fired, but considering Pinkuh is still an IRCop, I'd say this was out of her own free will.

Akh 5 years? That's news to me, unless time is flying even quicker than I thought. She was brought in because she appeared to /understand/ what hurt drama could cause (being in no small part responsible for the cub grief earlier on) and had learned from that/was very keen to do things better. Could have worked out much more positively, too, with the right environment on FA and better health for her IRL.

Ah... well done for making that *public* this time, Pinkuh, rather than that backstabbing trick you pulled last time after having done nothing for months. Amusingly back then, Dragoneer and Dama had been told several times that she'd stated to other community members that she'd left the team but hadn't mentioned that to staff(!) - and still that was like water off a duck's back.

If Dama was a "problem" for Dragoneer, his skin is about 1,000 times thinner than it used to be; and given that he was utterly incapable of taking any action re. Wolfblade, for example.

As Dave has said before, Dama was a fine admin, but not the right person for lead admin, save as a "buffer zone" between Dragoneer and the rest of the community. The only stated reason for his promotion to lead admin was geographical proximity; which was hardly the best one in the book, IMHO.

She's not really quitting the staff AFAICS.

Pinkuh formally stated on the admin forums that she was resigning in late 2007 IIRC, due to not having enough time w/her new job. However she still hung around on the staff IRC channel and did not de-admin herself on the forums/was allowed to keep admin privileges for a period. That gave her a direct line right back in when she felt like throwing her weight around again on the internet. I note from the forums leader page that she's still listed as a site admin and IRC admin:

So I would imagine she still will have access to the staff forums and no doubt she'll still be on the staff IRC channel. I wouldn't be at all surprised if she's back as a mainsite admin eventually. Perhaps her resignation as a mainsite admin was simply a formality since she might not have actually been doing anything on the mainsite.

Also, I did note in early January, that Wicht; a real lazy bugger, would go for months w/out viewing the admin forums/staff IRC let alone doing anything, was de-admin'ed for a few days but soon enough got his @ back. Never saw anything public said about it.
