I think AC does allow that, judging by the rules, although it's possible they've said otherwise to certain dealers. There probably have been issues with how products were displayed, though.

What I was getting at is that nobody is currently providing an ideal level of coverage. To paraphrase a recent interview: if WikiFur and WikiFur News/Flayrah is the best we can do as a fandom in the areas of archival and news reporting, we've got a long way to go.

Personally I think we can do better, but when it comes to Flayrah there hasn't been much input from others so far to achieve that. This is partly a traffic issue; until this year, the site was excluded from search engines. But it's also a matter of what people choose to spend their time on.

As for the current front page, it's April Fool's day. This is the news that is happening right now. (Though I admit I did hold the FA story back a few days to give them a chance to fix it, and to give me an opportunity to report it in a way that would make casual readers think I just made it up.)

Flayrah was launched in January 2001 (the first actual story is dated Jan 14th). Technically Timduru pays for the hosting, but we pay him. :)

Fair enough, fair enough.

But let's get back to the topic at hand here; namely that Xydexx is a broken human being obsessed with making 'furry' appear to be some innocent family-friendly happy drama-free zone while in complete denial of its seedy, fetish-laden roots.  Also obsessed with attacking those who would dare to dissent and/or expose the rotten wood beneath the thin shiny veneer, then deleting all evidence of such and claiming it never happened and everyone else is just taking it all too seriously.

This may just be some peanut gallery observations, but in all seriousness, a grown man who comes out first and foremost as a 'inflatable unicorn enthusiast' already paints a picture of some horrible sex act only lit by the light of a computer screen.  Even if I had no recollection of the hyper sexuality of furry things, he's already fighting an uphill battle against an overpriced gag at  Spencer's Gifts.

Greenreaper Using Flayrah To Support Burned Fur Projects

I dunno, I think it's sort of interesting how GreenReaper tried to laugh off the idea that he was using the former Furry news site Flayrah to support Burned Fur projects as a "conspiracy." I mean, that's pretty odd thing for him to say considering GreenReaper bent over backwards defending the nutcase on WikiFur who believed ninjas were breaking into his home at night and popping his inflatables. How's that for a conspiracy? Seriously. I can't make this stuff up.

The funny thing is when you do a little research, the evidence sort of speaks for itself, y'know?

This doesn't exactly paint a flattering picture, does it? This is just a small overview of a larger, more detailed and confusing illustration, showing GreenReaper's association the Burned Fur project Furryne.ws1, and his newfound friends over on Vivisector2 (which recently acquired Crush Yiff Destroy).

Seriously, I don't know what's happened to GreenReaper over the past few years. Maybe he was always like this and I just didn't notice. I used to support WikiFur and Flayrah because I thought they provided valuable and much-needed services to Furry fandom. But these days GreenReaper seems more interested in using WikiFur to document fetishes and drama, and Flayrah to write sensationalist blog articles based on his personal interpretation of Furry events instead of facts.

And considering the type of crowd he's palling around with these days, it's not hard to understand why.

It's a shame Flayrah's got all the journalistic integrity of Vanity Fair now. As GreenReaper himself said: "It's not news, it's Flayrah!"

1 GreenReaper is the #4 most frequent poster to Burned Fur-operated Furryne.ws.
2 GreenReaper is one of the Top 10 most frequent posters on the anti-furry site Vivisector.

Obviously if GreenReaper posts on CYD/Vivi then he must be one of those trolls!

I admire the fact that you can get Xyddexx to hate you; I thought he was long gone but hey, shows what I know... right? (+1)

I like how the graph just illustrates a lack of degrees of separation more than connections. Arrows point accusingly, frequently and above all equally. He makes it seem like Greenreaper, Kindi and the Ghost of Fandom Past sit around in one basement every Tuesday to plot the next attack on the furry media establishment.

I mean fuck, do we even have 10 regular posters? I keep expecting to reread this and hear about time cubes, or planned demolitions. Fuck, it's kind of a shame old Xy wasn't born 30 or 40 years earlier, he could have headed a committee on anti-American activities. Well, assuming he has the potential to be actually useful in a non-conbook pdf kind of way.

ARE YOU OR HAVE YOU EVER BEEN A MEMBER OF THE LIST OF PEOPLE I HATE?

Trivia: the amount of good material published once per year in the vaunted conbook, is posted daily to FA.  In terms of appreciation by and utility to the furry subculture, the AC conbook is ranked somewhere between Nothingkat's Twitter and the FurNation forums.

I honestly don't think Xydexx really means any of this anymore, and is just doing this to get a rise out of us.

He wants to relive the alt.fan.furry glory days, it seems.

Ooh, that's a tough one.  I wouldn't put it past him to have BECOME THAT WHICH HE DESPISES (ie trollin' for the fun of it), but on the other hand I want to believe he's really just that fucking insane these days.

OMG DELETED POAST!!!!1

Maybe I'm just getting old and don't understand kids today and how this kinda thing passes as entertainment. Maybe the folks on Vivisector, which consists of an audience of like ten people (half of whom are sockpuppets of Kindrift or Triggur) just aren't that creative. I mean, do they even do anything?

I mean, I can at least respect Mitch (former webmaster of CYD) on some level because he, y'know, had/has a zine about Victoriana and Steampunk and Zeppelins and stuff. These guys on Vivisector, what do they DO? What PURPOSE do they serve? Aside from freaking out about OMG XYDEXX, do they ever do anything besides sit around on the sidelines saying "ooooh, look, something BIG is happening here, I wish I could be a part of it, but I'm too anti-social to do anything but make snarky little snipes about it with my equally anti-social and snarky little pals in my snarky little snarkbox."

Yeah, I know they make their snarky little comments at me to get attention, and I know full well I'm giving it to them, but c'mon now... if I'm really such a loser, why are they so desperate for my attention to make themselves feel better?

It'd be easy to hate them, but I said years ago I find them tiresome more than anything else. Now I just kinda pity them.

Sadly, Xydexx gets more blog exposure through this thread than he does from his actual blog.

Sockpuppet #27, reporting in!

Also I love that he 'respects' Mitch.  Respected him right into shutting down CYD.  Wait, no, blackmailed.  That's the word I wanted.  So much for not taking the Internet seriously. :)

I was under the impression that Mitch simply moved on after CYD had its heyday. Is there something else that happened?

So why his sudden hate of Triggur? What did he do apart from having more balls than Karl? (Oh, those puns will never get old)

Rumor has it that Karl dug up Mitch's dox and threatened to (or did? I'm not sure) harass him and his employer.

Which is doubly ironic since CYD had all but ceased functioning at that point.
