Jason and I have been put in jail. I am not going into detail on why.

I am currently on pre-trial release right now. Jason is still in jail. We're probably looking at a long time in jail. We have been put on no contact, though, so I can't talk to him. If I do, I get put right back in jail.

I am going to do everything in my power to finish the commissions I owe before I go to jail. If we had a magic card trade and you haven't sent the cards, just forget about it.

Please do not rush me on your commission. I am so messed up right now that I won't be able to take it but I assure you that I will be working as hard as I can for you. I'm moving to West Palm since I'm not allowed to see Jason, so art upload will be slow. I have my sidekick though so I can answer to comments.

PORT ST. LUCIE — Police investigating an incident involving a man and his girlfriend stumbled upon a marijuana growing operation with dozens of plants and more than a pound of packaged pot, according to arrest affidavits released Thursday and a sergeant.

Officers were dispatched to a suicide attempt about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday at the home of Virgil Jason Vinz, 31, and his 19-year-old girlfriend, Terrah Lake Tracy, in the 900 block of Southwest Jaslo Avenue. Both wound up being arrested, each on a domestic battery charge, following an apparent struggle over a knife. One affidavit indicates the suicide attempt was “unfounded.”

Meanwhile, officers followed a blood trail through the kitchen and down a hall while looking for a knife, which lead them to packaged marijuana and a marijuana grow room, Sgt. Robert Fonteyn said.

“The odor (of marijuana) got stronger as they went to the rear of the house,” he said.

Fonteyn said one room had been converted into a hydroponic pot farm while another was being used to dry and package the marijuana.

After the discovery, patrol officers contacted drug investigators, who obtained a search warrant. Fonteyn said the work of patrol officers was key in the bust.

“Without them, this guy wasn’t on our radar or anything,” Fonteyn said. “He just said that he’d fallen on hard times economically and it was another venture to generate some additional income.”

Police found 47 marijuana plants and about 21 ounces of marijuana packaged in gallon bags.

Fonteyn said Vinz, listed as self-employed, also was running a legitimate sign-making business from the home.

In addition to the battery charge, Vinz and Tracy each face charges of cultivation of cannabis, possession of more than 20 grams of cannabis, possession of cannabis with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Ajna/Tracy will likely escape with a minimal sentence, but authorities will certainly nail Vinz.  Neither suicide nor domestic abuse are funny.  The drug charges are completely unreasonable and serve only for local political gain and the provision of tax dollars to Florida's for-profit prison system.  Each share four felony charges for growing plants.

It's easy to say that these two were obviously not living in the fucking real world. But what they did wasn't even wrong, and what's going to happen to them isn't even remotely justifiable in the civilized world. But that doesn't matter. They don't even get to be martyrs for a good cause, they just get to be fucking destroyed. They get to join millions of victims nobody gives a shit about.

I think, personally, when you're in a place where one particular thing is very very illegal, even if you like it, you are just endangering yourself by getting into it. I wouldn't bring a six-pack to Iraq. I wouldn't tote a bible into Saudi Arabia. I wouldn't take a gun to the UK... and I sure as fuck wouldn't grow pot where I am.

It's just stupidity, but well as Rodox said, their lives are pretty much fucked now.

You know, I'm not a pot smoker, and I doubt I'll ever try it, but even I can see how fucking stupid it is to have marijuana made illegal in the US. Sadly, I don't think it'll ever be legalized even in our lifetimes, just because of the politics surrounding it.
