Normally I dont' respond to these kind of things but there's something about this one that bugs me. There's alot of people who are up in arms about this guy having had sex with his dogs. The problem is this. Alot of you have friends who happen to be Zoo's. Alot of you have friends who have had, or are currently having, sex with their dogs. But the problem with this guy was he was stupid and did it in front of people who either A) Were jealous they didn't get a chance with the dog or B) Were not people he should have been trusting with the private parts of his life. I know a good many Zoo's. I also know that when an animal doesn't like something, they will tell you. They have claws, and sharp teeth. They can communicate. Sadly the only thing they can't do is tell someone they are being abused. Least not vocally anyway. But you can tell an abused dog from a well taken care of and loved animal. Now about the two friends who turned him in. I do commend them for doing so if the animals were actually being abused. But unless we see actual proof of abuse, IE Examinations of the animals for signs of it, then its just a bunch of hearsay. Granted this journal might cause a shit storm but its what i believe
Problem with this whole case is its really a 'He Said - She Said' case. Unless there is evidence to the contrary the man is innocent. Course in this situation he did make and Alford plea and that immediately makes people think he did it, though he did admit nothing.
Animals will attack if they are hurt or annoyed, I've seen it done plenty of times. And yes animals can tell us they don't want something. Remember the chick who snuck into the polar bear enclousure? She got attacked because they didn't want here there. As for 'beating the shit out of a docile dog' You could do that, but people would notice the signs of abuse in that dog. It would be meek and pull back. The outrage people feel to this isn't because the animal might have been abused, because we don't know that, we weren't there, we haven't seen the interactions of the man and his dogs. The outrage people feel is because in their minds its immoral and wrong to do so.
