Turns out, FAP may not be completely dead just yet.  According to this post on the blog of one of its site's administrators, MyFursona is competing with an as-of-yet unknown/unnamed group for control of FAP.  Should MyFursona get control, they've promised to carry features from their site over to FAP, shut down MyFursona once user and feature migration/merging is complete, hire extra coders to help with FAP's upkeep, and find Dragoneer so they can give him the skullfucking he deserves.

Okay, so I made up that last one.
