Recently, a person who had an account on Furaffinity:

was outed in a thread on lulz.net as being interested in "self-service" pictures of someone who was under-age. Logs were posted and all that. Furthermore, someone in the thread later revealed them as a sex offender (registered, for molestation of 14 or 15 yr. old boy) and they were banned from Furaffinity. They made an entry on their wikifur page defending themselves:

Where it becomes "interesting" is that someone found a cached pastebin log of Tora and Dragoneer having a discussion. In it, it is revealed that Dragoneer knows that Tora was going after a 16 year old boy on FA, using the note system, hoping to get pictures of him "self-servicing", however, Dragoneer debates whether or not he should actually report Tora to law enforcement and says he will do nothing yet.

Hopefully, he will do the right thing now.

Amino, who Tora refers to, is a person, who (under an FA account of that name) filed a trouble ticket revealing that Tora had a conviction, and who also posted this information to a journal on FA. They were banned for doing so.

TORA did contact me. My response was that it was unlikely that the community would agree to exclusion given the circumstances. I advised him to present his side of the story, which he did. I was largely responsible for crafting the summary of events from his statement, other sources, and information that later became available.

The article was protected, but only for five hours, due to edit warring. It was unprotected as soon as once I had written an initial summary. A few days later, I removed a link which had been added that identified innocent minors, while again trying to summarize the relevant information.

I think we did OK - and, for what it's worth, I think Dragoneer did, too. It's not easy to treat your friend like a criminal, even if they are.

Amino is a douchebag; I know this from going to their forums all the time. The first time he got an infraction (whoopty-fucking-do) he cried about it for at least a week. He's been banned from the forums before and after they banned him again he kept re-joining under other names whining about the admins for the 50th time.

I'm not saying I think it's right to ban someone for voicing an opinion if that's indeed what happened but if so he also stirred up enough shit I'm sure it was the last straw out of many

A footnote in this case was brought to my attention recently. TORA's accomplice in the original 2001 incident is still active in furry.

TORA's ex is Steeleheart, AKA Troy Gaede. Troy's LiveJournal and FA don't give any useful info other than some vague zoophile connections and the fact that he was on staff at last year's FC.

His 90s-vintage Angelfire site was updated as recently as 2005 and contains, amusingly enough, his resume.

That resume is pretty amusing. That's about as furry a resume as you can get- couple of associates degrees it took him a total of almost 10 years to get, then he spends the next ten years doing tech support work.

I wouldn't feel bad for TORA at all. He's done this before and is likely still doing it, and I don't buy his story about being an innocent bystander in the 2001 incident. (Neither did the court, obviously...)

As for what happened to him, I think he was sentenced to three years, served for two, and was on parole for another three. Presumably that parole carried with it internet usage restrictions. He's in the CA offender database at any rate.

So wait, you weren't 16 at the time of that private message exchange? Or were you fibbing about something else? It doesn't matter because either way, you shouldn't blame yourself for anything.

No I cannot say I feel bad about what has happened to him on his own account he deserves that but I just don't like being involved in things like this. Its fun to read about if your not involved but when i found out that i was a card on the table in this case i had a small anxiety attack sota speak. Its just not a good feeling ya know?

Yes at the time i was 16, I had lied about my age so i could get past the adult guard.

Also the bad feels were kinda for neer cuz it looks like he had a hard time dealing with this

He's not allowed on FA but he's still very active in the furry community in southern california and participates in a lot of events so he shouldn't be hard to find, if you want to talk to him for some reason.

I don't really know the guy personally and I don't have an opinion one way or another on him. A lot of people seem to love him regardless of the controversy surrounding him.

Same thing happens with Steeleheart too, let's not forget that. He still winds up on FC staff every so often. He doesn't seem to have gotten the attention that TORA has, probably because he's pretty low-key. I've never heard of him talking to anyone about what happened.
