We've been working to honestly assess the site’s shortcomings, and make changes that benefit you, our community.
In the past, FA had struggled with administrator inaction, bias, and a lack of accountability, which had led to some serious problems. Now we're working together with a new site co-owner and a dedicated administration team, determined to improve user support. We know that words are not enough, so it’s time to take action to make Fur Affinity the art community which you deserve.
In order to serve your needs more effectively, we have assigned administration teams to handle the different submission types. Traditional and digital artwork issues will be handled by a specialized team, and the same holds true for audio, written work, and photography. We also have a dedicated team of site support administrators to handle day-to-day activity and behavioral issues to ensure a better experience for all all of you.
Additionally, we have written a new Staff Code Of Conduct which outlines requirements that all staff must adhere to.
We truly want to fix the issues, and we're working toward a better Fur Affinity.
Notice, again, how they focus on "improving support" instead of "fixing the site"
The
staff page has been updated, and now there are six "departments" averaging two administrators each.
I'm guessing the new "department heads" are from Furocity? Also, the majority of the existing staff has been made "TOS Compliance and User Support" admins, and one has to wonder how some of them feel about new people being brought in above them when they've been on staff for years in some cases.
Of no surprise, there still hasn't been a single change to the technical staff. Apparently, they want to fix the issues, just not fix
the issues.
