Hmm. I'd do that, certainly, but I'd also send a factual and informative yet politely-worded missive to the owners of the site in question.

That way, they know as much as possible about the person who has entered their area of influence, in the event that they decide to keep their own specific close eye on said person from their unique vantage point.

Official: leaving the fandom =p

Yep, I'm out. I will finish uploading my gallery to Ink Bunny, then give the artwork to one of my friends to continue to post elsewhere, and then delete everything from this account. No paysite either, I'll just keep my secret stash to myself. I never planned on making money from the paysite either, just hope it would help pay for more commissions . . . but I've spent too much money on commissions in the last five years. Need to quit, move onto other things.

The main reason I'm leaving? Professional. I don't have time, money, energy or interest for the fandom anymore. My interest has been dying over the last two years . . . maybe starting with The Madness when that project started falling apart. Artists are getting more and more difficult to work with, and I spend more time manipulating them to do what I want than it's worth. To my critics . . . you're right, I should have just kept my opinions to myself, and quit trying to be such a manipulative smart ass. I was being naive and just having fun, trying to get people to loosen up and not take stupid, trivial things so seriously, but like I said, I was naive to think I could maintain such a high profile and keep it fun. Being popular in the furry fandom is nothing to brag about, and it certainly isn't worth investing in when you're like me and have so many other things going well in your life that need attention.

I know my critics will assume I'll come back under a different screen name . . . but even if I did, I would take such a drastic new approach to the fandom that you wouldn't recognize me anyways. Not worth it. Like with FA, I'd rather walk away than conform. So . . . this is me walking away. Done it many times in my life, with much more important things.

I will stick around long enough to get my gallery posted, and it will stay up for a while, so I can transition it to Sherlykaru's page so people can still look at it=) I really like how Sherlykaru took on The Madness project and moved it forward, so I'll trust her with my artwork, and she will have rights over my characters as well if she'd like to use them. I may toss her money from time to time to work on her own projects, and inasmuch that will be the only interactions I have with the fandom directly.

I'm sorry for my fans and friends I'm leaving behind. I'm not a social networking fan though, and while the furry fandom held my interest for a while and gave me the inspiration to explore the internet a bit more, I didn't like what I found in the end, for the most part. Rampant immaturity, lies and deceit (quite often concerning age and social status), superficial and shallow interpersonal connections, and hackers haters and trolls (oh my). Na, I'm going to take a more indirect approach to the internet. Stay a casual observer and keep to myself.

Overall, real life is tugging at me so drastically it has peeled me away from the internet. It's not bad stuff happening irl, it's good  . . . and much better than anything the web has to offer. Sorry for pulling a disappearing act on my fans and friends, but it should have been obvious that I've been severing the connection for a while now. Ever since The Madness hit a bump in the road, compounded with other things, I've been getting more distant and less interested. I had a pile of promising projects to work on that I hoped would inspire me to stay, but all other factors aside, I have found better things to spend my money on=p Yikes, if I could have back all the money I spent on commissions . . .

Anyways, the main purpose of this journal is to officially set a break-off point where I can say the furry fandom was in my past, and I'm moving forward. I need this for me more than anything else. Since the fandom has never been something I'd brag about irl, I don't want it to be something I have to 'hide' anymore either. There are SOOOO many reasons to leave and move forward . . . yeah, I didn't even really want to post a journal saying goodbye to be honest. I considered just leaving abruptly and without warning, but I didn't think that would be fair to my fans.

I will not be replying to comments on this journal. If you feel some need to contact me, do so via notes. Please, no pleas for me to stay, no queries about projects I was working on, and no harassment. At this point, that kind of stuff will be falling on deaf ears.

Just when we all thought Betawolf had finally left for good, FA's TravarisRhade posts a threatening email sent to him by PedoTaz in regards to a commission situation.

So there's this fucker whom a year and a half ago won an auction I held to pay to keep lavenderpandy in school. Betawolf won this and asked for a peculiar comic. Now this comic was about a woman jogging and then being raped. He asked me to keep this from the public eye and I did, now before this commission I didn't know who this guy was, though a rape commission like this where you ask me to draw the lady crying and all that, that shit... that shits weird. But since it wasn't technically against anything I wont draw as you know pixel rape doesn't really bother me, aint vore, the guy wasn't some pedo raping a kid or whatever. Disturbed the shit out of my partner who helped with it, but we like whatever. I get into my shit beginning of 2010 and everyone knows how that was and we dont finish this comic until october 2010 year.

Now though done with his commission, I said i'd add a page to it and, give him one free character on a commission if he got one when i reopened in january. Anyone around can tell i aint reopened commissions yet this year. Told him I expected to be ready to work back on it in January, with my partners brother dying over the christmas break and myself dealing with a few more things didn't happen. Now this is free work I promised, out of sense of duty to my commissioner not cause at this point I owed him shit. But still its free art dont mean you can jap off on me if it aint done in the time you want it or got to in a certain amount of time. Listen i respectfully told you, that it will have to wait. I promised other people that once I got my surgery I'd work hard on what they been waiting on. I'll get to you with this FREE work when I can.. I can't justify making them wait longer for you!

So after talking to his proxy Sherly Karu whom talks and takes commissions for him so he can not deal with the fandom after being run out of here, I get a message about it and I've kept all the logs. Basically saying I'll get to it while I can. I have priorties, because the longer i wait, the more of these sort of things i may be COMPELLED, to do. So, I'm and anyone who knows the body of work being put up since my eye surgery, knows, I been working my ass off. But... check the e-mail he sent me.

I really don't like you pushing back and Sherlykaru and I simply because we asked for an update, and are trying to seek resolution on an issue that you conveniently ignored. I've been friendly and patient, treated you with compassion and respect . . . for what? The whole reason you've even been able to let this project go on for so long is because I've respected that you've been sick, I respected you need to pay medical bills and take new commissions, and I've respected your wishes on contact/communication. IM is a HORRIBLE program to conduct business over, especially YIM (I cannot copy and paste the messages or save them in any form). So, threats that you refuse to do email/note tag with me? When you're playing poker with someone, and one guy has twice the chips you have, you're going to lose. You can't win with me. I feel like threatening you right now. I actually feel like skipping the threats and just attacking you, like I did with Steve Martin, Jessica Elwood, Briona Campbell, Bonk, and others. I know all of the dirty little secrets artists have, like not paying taxes on the money they make from their artwork, and that most of them can't afford legal fees. I notify the IRS about business conducted, or just have my attorney send you a couple legal letters, or contact PayPal or you bank directly . . . boom, it all goes away.

. . . so why are you poking me, pushing back like you're trying to enforce your ego?

I'm not even going to vindicate myself to you, based on your IM responses or what you told Sherlykaru. I cannot afford to spend anymore time or effort chasing you anymore. You owe me a comic page and a full character commission on principal alone, and that's enough for me to feel insulted if you refuse me. That 'gift' artwork has value to you, bought you things with me, and isn't just 'free'. And dude, I know you promised me a free commission in January, not a discount on a two character image. Prove me wrong? If you do not complete both these project within 60 days of this email being sent to you, I'm not going to threaten you, I'm just going to move. At that time you'll have proved that, on principal, you do not deserve to conduct business in this fandom and you have simply taken advantage of my good nature all along, and I will start notifying authorities and those you conduct business with about your behavior. If you fulfill these two owed commissions, I will forgive and forget all that has been done and move on (suffice to say we will not conduct business any further). I'm giving you a chance to redeem yourself here, rather than just using the 'stick' that I know works.

It's too bad you decided to burn this bridge in any case, as I do not wish to do business with you any longer. You seem to have formed the opinion that my reputation in the fandom has hurt you, which I think is a cheap shot (it wasn't an issue when you took and kept my money). Unfortunately . . . you've also disregarded my reputation for being a hard-liner who calls peoples' bluffs. I've kicked some of the most popular artists out of the fandom before. I really don't know why you decided to fight this battle and make me get 'hard' with you. Is it desperation? I know you're hard up for money, due to health issues, but if you cannot finish commissions because you're over-extending yourself out of desperation, maybe you should quit hurting people by doing bad business with them and just leave the fandom? In any case, you need an attitude adjustment, seriously. Man . . . I couldn't have tried harder to be nice, friendly, and respectful with you, and it's been a waste of my time.

Simply put, paid what is OWED or I will expose you to everyone you've been hiding from, and extract damages from you for my wasted time and patience. I will even temporarily come back to the fandom to do this=p You are the very last bit of bad baggage I have to deal with before I'm truly free of the fandom, and while it would be easier for me to forget you rather than spend all this time and effort chasing you, I'm operating on principal, not money. I think you should start doing the same.

60 days to complete two commissions to be free of me, or fight me with your ego because you don't feel like I'm entitled to something you promised as a peace offering. I can't guess which one you'll chose, but I'm ready for either decision. You don't even have to reply back to this email, your actions will speak much louder than your words.

As far as I know, Sherly is Beta's "go-between" when it comes to artists on FA (Helms left FA after the cub porn ban came down; I'm sure Furileaks helped him along, too). I have no idea if Sherly shares the same "tastes" that Beta does, but I doubt that PedoTaz would work with anyone who didn't.
