If you want to get some idea of what schizophrenia is like, watch A Beautiful Mind. There's a moment in there that will just blow your mind, when it becomes apparent that he has schizophrenia. We say people are detached from reality, but these people actually are, in a quite-literal sense. Schizophrenia is, among other things, the inability to discern what is real and what is not.

This is what bothered me so much about fd_2, hence my earlier comment. Most of the denizens of fd_2 are as much furry failures as the various drama-whores they are supposedly making fun of. So to boost themselves, they seek out people like this and mercilessly mock them. I would even say posts like this made up the majority of fd_2 content, which after a while starts to become sad and pathetic rather than entertaining.

At least here, when there's nothing to post, (usually) nothing is posted, but this is about the only place of it's kind where I've seen that kind of self-restraint.

It's sort of an...enforced restraint.  I'd certainly prefer not to have these week-long dry spells but I'm perfectly happy to have extended silence over constant noise.

I am hearing that the best thing to do to help people in this situation is to not draw attention to it, which is kind of an OOPS at this point. There's no drama here, and it's neither funny nor really a SUBCULTURE SECURITY concern. Some things should be covered up for the benefit of all parties involved, and having an episode like this in front of a crowd as nasty as the furries hell of qualifies.

I do need to point out that the best thing the FA admins could do at this point is wipe (or partially wipe) the account and perhaps send her a backup for later review. Leaving everything as it is with that note there is only going to make people curious.
