"Furry Fuel"? What does this remind me of...

I guess instead of all-night Halo sessions, it's for those all-night "pawing off" sessions.
My favorite part is how there was no attempt to make the can design seamless.
Oh, but isn't it also lovely how there's no attempt to put the title in dead space on the label, or make it stand out from the, ahem, artwork? Nope, just slap it right onto the rocket and the fox's hand. At least they did their homework and put together a Nutrition Facts label (albeit with some clumsy capitalization), but it still looks likely to be about as successful as OK Soda without Coca-Cola's financial backing or Daniel Clowes's mad art skillz.

Expect it to be pulled soon, that kind of stuff is against the rules apparently...
Aaaaand sure enough.

So, apparently a day ago, Kickstarter opened up their version of a trouble ticket with the following message:

"Our community guidelines specify that fundraising for energy drinks is prohibited (http://www.kickstarter.com/help/guidelines). Because your project contains one or more of these, it will be suspended within 24 hours of this notice, unless you elect to cancel it yourself. It is recommended that you alert your backers of this situation via direct message or by posting an update.

Best,
Kickstarter"

Somehow, I was not alerted to this message. At all. Zero, zilch, zip. Now, I'm fairly certain when I checked the guidelines when I first opened my account a few months ago that energy drinks weren't on there, but...

If they are, they are. No appealing that. I'm just wondering A) Why did Kickstarter approve my project in the first place, and B) Why didn't I actually get alerted by that message.

.....well, oh well.

To EVERYONE THAT DONATED:

If you're still interested, I've got a Google Checkout I can use. Send me a note and we can discuss the details.
The reference to "community guidelines" is not quite accurate (you have to look under "Project Guidelines", not "Community Guidelines", and refer both to "Projects must fit Kickstarter's categories" AND the "View prohibited items and subject matter" drop-down to make sure your project's kosher), but really someone starting a new project should be going over the instructions with a fine-toothed comb anyway. (insert joke about furries being unfamiliar with combs)

There is a kickstarter, which is being aimed at furries by being advertised on FA amongst other places. Its for some fighting computer game where people punch and kick each other etc and who should be on the team but Adam Wan/Zaush:

Thing is though, these people already got $20,000 last year on indygogo to make a playable demo:

https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/beast-s-fury-project#activity
^
"This campaign started on May 04 and closed on June 18, 2013 (11:59pm PT)."

And they didn't manage to produce the playable demo they said they would. So they're now back for more money just to produce a playable demo.

In response to people who ask why Zaush is on their team they are actively defending Zaush, and hiding comments:

That comment above was in response to someone who ask if Wan was running that FA account ; he has to be because that is such an arrogant dismissive response that only he could have made it.

Also, someone commented on lulz.net:

Fun Fact: Several peers I knew were slated to voice for this.

After I pointed out multiple red flags from a developer's perspective, and a couple from a voice artist perspective, all but one of them jumped ship (because the one who stayed is voicing the main character).

1/10 would not purchase the funding is both non-existent and all over the place.

don't get involved with this game. Their entire focus is on getting more funding to pay their animators, which apparently the first couple of times (I think this is their 3rd attempt at this now?) couldn't adequately pay. Yes, the art looks great now, but they are also stiffing entire other departments and members in order to do this. Don't condone that, please.

As bad an omen as Zaush's involvement is, what jumped out from the screencap at me is "Voice Actor / Writer / Editor: Poesy Rosewood". That's, uh, a lot of work for one person. Is this Wolf: The Animated Feature all over again?

at least something not abjectly horrible came out of the non-completion of wolf: the animated feature

wan sure is able to attach his name to a lot of shit that doesn't get done. you'd think people would take the hint
Zeriara is part of a series on Whores.

If that isn't Adam, then they are trying way to hard to get into his pants.  All they have to do is willingly drive over to his house.
