This case with Wildwulf continues to be one of the biggest cases of FA's incompetence. That is saying so very, very much considering my intimate knowledge of that incompetence. And yet perhaps still the best show of how much they make decisions on the fly and out of emotion rather than just simply sticking to the site's policies.
Wildwulf and Shnakes were both arrested at the same time. They both made equally big news stories.
Wildwulf was banned, And then six monthes or so later, unbanned. Then some time after that, banned once more. Then, once more, unbanned sometime after he got out of jail. Then, for the third and final time, re-banned, finally and permanently, for the third time.
Shnakes was banned once. To this day, that ban has not been lifted once.
Ignore all the many, many other cases of flip flopping for a moment, such as FA Staff making the decision to ban (rightly so) many a pedophile that preached sex with minors was alright on the site, and yet formally deciding not to ban Crassus.
Let's ignore that for a moment and just look at the difference in how these two dogfuckers were treated, for the same off-site offenses and the same (negative) publicity to the community. Dragoneer even made the effort to condemn shnakes' bullshit in public and on FAF. Where was that condemnation for Wildwulf? Where was that permanent, one time ban?
