at least something not abjectly horrible came out of the non-completion of wolf: the animated feature

wan sure is able to attach his name to a lot of shit that doesn't get done. you'd think people would take the hint

If that's his only meaningful criteria for trusting anyone, we've done our job.

You do see a lot of libertarians in kiddy-fiddler-land (and doggie-diddler land for that matter).

4
Although both came completely out of thin air, I do wonder if the arrests of Biero and Sheppard are connected somehow. You don't just get two similar cases out of nowhere from the same location and social group and well within a year of each other.

So only his most valuable gun was there? Was there any chance he'd transferred it properly?

this is honestly kind of adorable

The fact that all (or a good chunk of) those weapons came from Groat is going to make this pretty messy.

I guess that makes sense. So there has to be an explicit threat of physical retaliation?

Does everything Wan has done so far- the Twitter shit, both FA journals and the spreading of chatlogs - constitute witness intimidation, or does that require him to have been formally charged?

welcome to reality, where knowing something to be true and being able to prove it in court are two completely fucking different things

i fucking hate piche but i hold no illusions that he is going away

fucker is probably going to wind up like groat or 2, just an institution of loathsomeness that won't go away

evil men fall for their mistakes, not their crimes

All signs point to this being a publicity stunt on Arcturus's part.

It'd be bullshit even if it did come from a real lawyer, though if it was a real lawyer he'd still have reason to be cautious. What with him being in the country illegally and all.

Which is pretty funny because we know where he works (Thales Aviation), we just don't have too many specifics. I am confident that we could get them if we really wanted.

Adam Wan/Zaush. Not worth the 10 cent round it would take to core his head out.

Besides, the bayonet is so much more personal, so much more visceral. At range, you really can't sense much of your target's death. But up close, you can see his eyes bulge as the spike skewers him, you can hear his gasp of surprise and his shriek of agony. You can feel the warmth of his body, smell the blood and steel. Anybody can kill douchebags at range, but up close, it's a work of art.

who is this anal_apocalypse person, i love him more than words can express

I knew nobody'd get the reference, so the story goes a bit like this:

A number of years ago, a bunch of people on FYAD were trolling Wikipedia, and had taken notice of a particularly pedantic user named "Cumulus Clouds". A bunch of users, most notably Anne Frank Fanfic, took it upon themselves to troll and harass him (calling him a "sperg" and such) to a degree that even a few others thought was excessive. Cumulus Clouds turned out to be a high school student, and committed suicide some time later. As the situation unraveled, it looked more and more like they had (wittingly or unwittingly) pushed an already vulnerable and unstable kid into killing himself. There was even (mod-approved) talk of crashing his funeral.

Like everything genuinely bad that's happened at Something Awful, the story has been supressed only to be repeated and distorted by a bazillion dumbshits, mostly from shitty racist SA offshoots with an axe to grind like Rhizzone and My Posting Career. Because of that, there's a lot of details to the story that I just don't have or are probably wrong. The kid's parents apparently do have the most accurate picture of what happened, and may or may not be weighing their options.

Anyway, as of now bringing up the situation on SA will at minimum put you on the radar and at most get you banned and your post edited depending on who sees the post and how much of a handle you've got on the sequence of events. Anne Frank Fanfic and the moderator that talked about the funeral crashing are pretty much actively being protected at this point.
