LA furries, daughter, suspected of killing mother (also a furry)
« on: September 25, 2016, 09:03:15 pm »
A triple homicide that happened outside of Los Angeles yesterday claimed the life of a woman who went by "vixiegoth" on FurAffinity. But what makes this story even worse is that her 17-year-old daughter, a furry who went by "daydreamerfox" on Twitter and "daydreamerfoxwolfangel" on FurAffinity, is allegedly among the suspects arrested for the murders.

Police have arrested two men, Josh Acosta and Frank Felix, and one unnamed 17-year-old female (Hmmmmm...) was "detained in connection with the murders", according to KABC-TV. A local furry alleges that the two other men are furries as well in this tweet

The daughter is a fursuiter and attended CaliFur this year.

The Southern California couple found dead in their home are being mourned by a furry community that has been shaken by the killings .

Christopher Yost and Jennifer Goodwill Yost, 34 and 39, were discovered Saturday morning along with family friend Arthur William Boucher at their house in Fullerton.

The Yosts’ 17-year-old daughter Katlynn Goodwill Yost was originally listed as missing after the bodies were found, though police say she was found unharmed when authorities arrested two men in connection to the murders.

A unidentified 17-year-old girl was also arrested along with Josh Acosta, 21, and Frank Felix, 25, though Fullerton Police did not identify her because she is a juvenile.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to support the Yosts’ family, including two younger daughters, 9 and 6.

Police say that one of the children is the one who made the 911 call saying that her parents had died.

The couple’s death has also been mourned by members of the furry fandom, which Jennifer Goodwill Yost’s social media pages show that she participated in.

Furries are people who craft their own anthropomorphic animal personas and dress up as the characters at meet ups, sometimes for sexual situations.

“Love and miss you both Jen and Chris. Forever you will be” in my heart. May rest in peace,” Twitter user and furry Mokie Mutt posted on Twitter along with a photo of an impromptu memorial to the couple.

The furry community had also tried to amplify police calls in finding Katlynn Goodwill Yost, who also posted many pictures of her character on Facebook, when she was missing.

Members of the fandom who posted on condolences to Jennifer's page on furry-centered website furaffinity.net said that they believed the killers were also part of the subculture.

"It is really disgusting to see furries killing furries. I hope wherever you are, you are in peace. <3," user SoyBeanTheWolf said.

Fullerton Police said that the attack on the Yosts was not random and that suspects knew their victims, who were found with trauma on their bodies.

Authorities have not yet identified a motive in the killings.

I'd be shocked and disgusted if I remembered what not being shocked and disgusted felt like.

The 17 year old has not been charged with anything, and was "supposed" to be released. However, the police are refusing to comment on her.

The two guys, on the other hand, have been charged with first-degree murder.

So, wow.

Minors in california cannot be identified and their legal status (arrested, held, etc) cannot be given at any point in time.  Her next steps (if they are to charge her) is to either seek juvenile court where the judge will decide if she faces charges as a minor (4 year detention) or charges as an adult (4 year detention + life with parole sentence), or for the district attorney who has the power to charge her directly as an adult.  Either way, until the determination on how she will charged occurs, the police cannot say anything about her at all.

As soon as she went missing people were talking about a history of verbal abuse at her mom. Nobody who knew her was surprised when she was detained. Nice soft tap on the wrist incoming. It's a thing.
