If there's one group that's more torn between the idea that the Furry Fandom is all about sex, you needn't look any further than the European furries. While their conventions are generally praised for having common sense rules about public displays of fetish
, those rules exist for a reason, mainly because some of the best/worst examples of "furry is a fetish" are found right in their own community.
It was that community that helped give birth to The Dog's Bolloxx
(NSFW), created to supply the world with handcrafted Pup Play gear especially marketed towards furries. The company's "about us" page reads "Pup play is getting big, everywhere. Femme doms are in the newspapers. The furry fandom is huge. And that means that people all over the world are exploring a new ways of finding themselves, and enjoying their bodies. That kicks ass, and we’re ecstatic to be a part of it." Murrrsuiters can be seen all over the shop's Twitter page
, modeling the various products being sold via very professionally done photography.
And I think that's where the problem begins. For ages, murrsuiting was usually something shared "under the radar" and consisted of low-quality photos, generally shared privately or maybe on some shitty amateur porn website like xtube. The Dog's Bolloxx has taken a new approach using professional photography and a Twitter account open to everyone.
Enter Felix the Fox, one of the three murrsuiter models the store is using (even having a product
named after him). It appears others in the fandom aren't as open and accepting as he'd like when it comes to his willingness to shamelessly show off his murrsuit.
In fact, he was actually banned from one meet because of his murrsuiting. He had tweeted about the ban (a retweet of that particular tweet is how I found this story), but at some point deleted it, however failed to delete tweets talking about it:
He did tweet
a while back in response to the news that a LondonFurs
meet was shut down due to sexual misconduct by attendees, calling the perpetrators "bad furries". Apparently it is bad to do that but perfectly okay to broadcast to the world that murrsuiting is "in" that you're "proud to be part" of this kinky new movement.
And people wonder why Kage drinks like he does.
